Car Club Rallysprint Review
Thanks
to our sponsors - Redhills Benz, Lauries Garage, Valvoline, STS Subaru
Reckers.
Hi All
The weekend started bad.....the Kiwi's lost. Then on Saturday morning,
I went out to the garage to start up the rallycar to move it out, after
giving it a routine oil and filter change, and it wouldn't start.
And that was the end of that, we spent all Saturday afternoon trying to
start the car, but to no avail.. so sadly we had to miss the Rallysprint...oh
well, bring on the next event, which is the Day Night Rallyspring in Maramarua
on the 4th August.

Car Club Rallysprint Preview
Well the next event for the season is upon us this Sunday 15th July, it
is round 4 of the Woolf Muffler Rallysprint Series, at Naike. Top Seed
and most likely to take out the event will be Marty Roestenburg in his
Lancer EVOIII, and we won't know until the day who else will be there,
but I am sure it will be a hotly contested round.
The event documentation and scrutineering is at 8am, with the first recce
run to do the pace notes at 9:45am. So it will be an early start in Avondale
on Sunday morning...yawn.
The Rallysprint is based on Waikorea Valley Road. To get there travel
to Naike, take Woodleigh Rd, Matira Rd, and turn left onto Te Akau Rd.
The road is a 8km nice and fast flowing stage...which will be heaps of
fun for the Redhills Rallyteam.
THE FOCUS FOR THIS EVENT
Pace Notes. We will be doing pace notes again, our own, so we will be
looking to get the calls right, and to be accurate on the first run through.
Also I will be looking to rely on them a little more. Sam is great on
the notes, so I just have to get used to them now.
Hopefully may see some of you there
See
our next event here.
Cheers
