2002 - Season Opener - Pukekohe Rallysprint

Welcome to the 2002 Rally Season opener.

First event of 2002 is 24th March, a dual rallysprint based in Pukekohe. It will be a good test, as it is two stages, each 9km long, and they are nice tight twisty roads. We will be able to make sure all the new components are working, and get back into the groove, as the driver may be a little rusty after 5mths off...For last years review, click here

Programme

Based in Onewhero, just south of Tuakau, it overs the usual fast/twisty gravel roads that New Zealand is famous for. If you are interesting in spectating, Ponganui Road (which runs off Onewhero Road) is the place to be. It would be a good event to spectate, as we do the two stages four times. We are based in a farmers field, on the left about 1km frm the start of Ponganui Rd. Should be a great day if the sun is shining....
Scutineering and Documentation is 7am - 8am. Drivers briefing will be at 9:15am. We will then be doing a recon run, where we write our Pace Notes, and have a good look at the condition and dangers on the road. First car away will be at approx. 10am and the day will run to 4pm.
